> WANT TO RENT OUT OUR PROPERTY?
RENTALS
The Cedar Lake Outdoor Center is available for leasing during our shoulder seasons on either side of the Michigan OUT-of-DOORS Youth Camp. These seasons usually run from late April through mid-June and mid-August through mid-October. We are able to host school groups, weddings, festivals, etc.
There are few dates/weekends available each year, so rentals are approved on a first come, first serve basis. We do our best to accommodate and have as much days/weekends available that we can. However, our primary use for the facility is our Youth Camp, so that always comes first.
In 2026, we will be offering the ability to rent the property during our shoulder seasons, the spring and the fall, around the Michigan Out-of-Doors Youth Camp. A rental application can be found below or under “How to Apply.”
In order to reserve your inquired dates to rent the property, you must do the following:
1. Complete the full 2026 CLOC Rental Application Packet and mail or email it to Camp Director
2. Mail your deposit check of $550 to the MUCC Office.
3. Contact Camp Director, Shannon Stover, with any questions.
Once both the rental application and your deposit is received, your dates will be marked off and you will receive confirmation paperwork.
Q: How long can I rent the property for?
A: You may rent the property for as long as you need if the time is available. Typical rentals are
Friday to Sunday.
Q: What do I have access to when I rent the property?
A: All guests receive keys that give them access to all the sleeping cabins, the main lodge which includes the kitchen, all bathrooms, the shower building, and the waterfront shed. All of these are for use by renters, including the waterfront and kayaks and canoes.
Q: How many people can the camp sleep for my rental?
A: There are about 110 beds on site for renters use. All beds are twin sized and majority are bunk beds. There is extra space and electricity in sleeping cabins for air mattresses.
Q: Where can we park/drive on the property?
A: Guests may park and drive pretty much anywhere on the property. The only place vehicles cannot be on is the septic field located in the main field outside the lodge. This is always marked off for guests to be aware of.
Q: What is provided besides access to the property?
A: All rental groups are responsible for their own supplies, decorations, food, sleeping equipment, etc. The only items we provide are access to the property, first aid supplies, and basic toiletries in the bathrooms. There is not staff working onsite during the off season. So for rentals like weddings, all preparation, catering, decoration, etc. is done by yourself or an outside company.
Q: How does check-in/check-out work?
A: The Camp director will contact you prior to your rental dates with specific instructions on getting access to the property and what to do before departing. There are rental tips and tricks posted in the main lodge as well to give renters a reminder of what to do.
Q: Who do I contact if I have an issue during my rental?
A: Camp Director, Shannon Stover, is the main contact for all rental groups. Her contact information will be given to renters prior to rental dates. Keep in mind, that all staff members are at least one hour from the property if something urgent arises.
